There Is Nothing Like This Sweetness

Jummah Mubarak sis.

There is a sweetness that comes with spiritual elevation that nothing else in this world can replicate. Not an achievement, not a relationship, not any amount of comfort or success. It is a particular kind of fullness that settles in your chest when you are genuinely close to Allah. And once you have tasted it, everything else begins to pale in comparison.

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: "There are three things that whoever attains them will find the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else, that he loves a person only for the sake of Allah, and that he would hate to return to disbelief as he would hate to be thrown into fire." (Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim)

That sweetness he described is real. It is not a feeling reserved for scholars or for those who have been practicing longer than you. It is available to you right now, in this season, exactly where you are. It comes when you choose Him over the distraction. When you sit in a moment of genuine dhikr and feel your heart slow down. When you make a decision rooted in taqwa and feel the peace that follows. These are not coincidences. That is the taste of elevation. That is Allah drawing you closer.

So many of us are chasing things we hope will finally make us feel like enough. And the ache underneath all of that chasing is really just a longing for this. For connection. For closeness. For the kind of inner stillness that only comes from being in right relationship with the One who made you.

Sis, the sweetness is on the other side of the consistency you have been putting off. It is in the prayer you have been rushing through. It is in the quiet you keep filling with noise. It is waiting for you in the moments you choose to turn toward Him instead of away.

Chase this sweetness above everything else. You will not regret it.

Have a blessed Jummah
