The Beauty of Letting Go

Jummah Mubarak sis,

The Prophet ﷺ said: "You will never leave something for the sake of Allah except that Allah will replace it with something better for you."
(Musnad Ahmad, authenticated by al-Albani)

Letting go is never just loss. When it's for Him, it's always an exchange.

October is here, and the trees have started to let go of their leaves one by one, without panic and without apology. Autumn can look like loss. But the tree isn't dying. It's releasing what it no longer needs so it can survive what's coming and bloom again.

Our bodies know this season too. In the days before our cycle begins, many of us feel heavier, more tender, more inward. We tend to judge ourselves for it, as if slowing down were failing. What if it's simply autumn? A natural turning that Allah designed with wisdom.

Allah reminds us that He does not burden any soul beyond what it can bear (2:286). This includes your energy, your moods, and your need to set some things down.

This Jummah, ask yourself what you're ready to release. It might be a grudge, a fear, or an expectation that was never yours to carry. Let it fall like a leaf. You'll still be standing.

Don't forget Surah Al-Kahf today, and keep making du'a in that last hour before Maghrib.
